Iron Man
This clip is made using continuity editing. The scene starts with a medium shot of a boy and it then straight cuts to his dad and then to an eyeline view from the dads perspective of iron man approaching, this is an example of juxtaposition. After this it straight cuts to iron man attacking the villains, it continuously straight cuts to shots of iron man firing at he villains for the next 10 seconds but then moves to an eyeline view from iron mans perspective which in cinematography is also seen as a point-of-view shot. The eyeline view is a wide shot of hostages with heads pointed to their heads, the scene then straight cuts to a medium sot of iron man and then to a wide shot once again however this time the shot is taken from behind iron mans hand which cold also be seen as a over-the-shoulder shot. Then there is a straight cut to a close-up of iron man which then straight cuts to an eyeline view once again. Following on from that there is another over-the-shoulder shot. Then there is a straight cut to the hostages and then there is an example of a tilt. The camera then follows one of the hostages running to his dad. The camera stays on the medium shot of the father and son hugging however you can hear diegetic sound of iron mans footsteps while he kid is following him with his eyes. The scene then jump cuts to a medium shot one of the villains hiding behind a wall. The scene then straight cuts from the villain to a phone and back to a close-up of his face however the scene then jump cuts to iron man dragging the man out of the wall by breaking it which then dissolves into a shot of the man landing on the floor. The scene straight cuts to iron man flying of and then theres a jump cut to him flying in the sky which then straight cuts to an eyeline view of some rocks and back to a close-up of iron man but then he is suddenly hit by a grenade which straight cuts to an establishing shot of him falling down. The scene then straight cuts back and forth from a medium close up of iron man to a establishing/eyeline view of a tank which then explodes. This follows onto a wide shot of iron man flying up followed by a eyeline view from iron mans perspective of a establishing shot of a man firing at him. The scene continues to iron man firing at the man which then jump cuts to a wide shot of a truck of men who heard the explosion which then jump cuts back to the explosion and there is a wide shot of iron man flying out. The scene ends with a establishing shot and a tilt of iron man flying out. The pace of the scene goes back and forth between being fast and slow. Majority of the scene is fast paced as the clip involves action and explosions however there are some slow paced scenes when the families unite or when iron man is walking or planning an attack.
